College or high school student looking for volunteer hours? Med student wanting experience with hospice patients? Retired and looking for ways to be involved in the community?
Becoming a hospice volunteer can have such a huge impact on your life as well as the patients life. Volunteer about an hour of your time once a week and spend it with a hospice patient in the final stages of their life. Your one on one visits means the world to them . Visits look like- sitting by their bedside chatting with them and reflecting on their life, watching their favorite tv show with them, reading them a book, painting their nails, or even just being a comforting presence by their bedside while they sleep.
If interested or for more information please contact Anna Hale, Volunteer Coordinator, at ahale@carishealthcare.com or at 636-527-6675.
