Join our 2024 Light Up the Night Gala team benefiting the children and families of the Day Home!

The evening will include an elegant cocktail reception, seated dinner, live auction, and program at the historic Julia Morgan Ballroom.

Volunteer duties may include:

  1. Managing coat check
  2. Supporting guest registration
  3. Greeting and ushering guests
  4. Assisting with live auction- bidder spotting
    Please refer to the schedule of shifts for roles within each shift time

Volunteer requirements:

-21+
-Ability to commit to at least one entire shift
-Experience working events or customer service a plus

2 Shifts

  • Thu Oct 10, 2024 - evening / 04:30 PM to 07:00 PM PST - Spots available: 8
    The following roles will occur during this shift: guest registration, coat check, guest greeter/usher
  • Thu Oct 10, 2024 - evening / 07:00 PM to 09:30 PM PST - Spots available: 8
    The following roles will occur during this shift: coat check, live auction spotting

Description

Holy Family Day Home is one of San Francisco's oldest preschools, serving low income and homeless Bay Area families with affordable early childhood education and family support services for 124 years. We serve children ages three months to five years, and their families, giving the whole family an opportunity to gain skills for lifelong development. Holy Family Day Home is a non-denominational program.

REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
  • Must be at least 21
  • Orientation or Training
  • 2.5-5 hours
  • Guest registration and live auction bidder-spotting volunteers will be asked to view a short training video prior to event. Additional training will be provided onsite the evening of the event.
