PEERGUIDE is a registered Washington State non-profit organization. Our goal is to provide free educational assistance to K-9th grade students who don't have sufficient academic support at home. These students include, but aren't limited to, foster children, students with special education needs, students of single-parent households, and those with two working parents. We are looking to create social environments for the students we tutor, as students only engage in learning when they are having fun doing so. All of our volunteers are qualified students who are looking to make a difference in our community.
All tutoring is virtual, and we are looking to continue expansion with more help.
This opportunity allows high-school and college students to take part in the outreach portion of PeerGuide. Being on the leadership team would mean making phone calls and researching places our organization could partner with, or it would be trying to connect our services to the foster care system/school districts. Another portion that some would develop and create, would be events for students. This would include clubs (additional learning opportunities), and other events we'd brainstorm at a later point in time.
This is an application-based role and applicants that we are interested in will have an "informal" phone or ZOOM interview. Please fill out this google form (https://forms.gle/fYkdFFewaJjy7pLw7) and write that you'd like to join the leadership & outreach team in the last section.
We hope you join us!
