In addition to the usual service projects and celebration events, we’re encouraging young people to become activists and advocates to address root causes of problems through policy change and challenging everyone to help renew the spirit of democracy and citizenship that’s under threat around the world. Together, we can crack the atom of youth civic power.

Volunteering and service are more important during a crisis than ever.

The MLK Day of Service is observed as a "day on, not a day off." MLK Day of Service is intended to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, create solutions to social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a "Beloved Community."

September 11, 2021 is the 20th Anniversary of that tragic day. Join us on 9/11 Day of Service - step forward to serve in a remarkable spirit of unity, honor, and compassion. Remember, even a small act of service is a giant act of patriotism.

Days of Service

9/11/2021 - MLK Day 1/17/2022 - Global Youth Services Days 4/29-5/1

Volunteerism on these days will include orientation and training sessions prior to the day of service.
