I'RAISE is a 501c(3) non-profit organization located in New York City. Talent Acquisition Intern Reports to: Human Resources Director

Internship summary:
The Talent Acquisition Intern assists the Human Resources Department with a wide range of projects related to recruiting, onboarding/orientation, and internal programs. The Intern will learn how to take skills they may have acquired in school related to their areas of interest and apply them in a professional setting.

Primary Functions:

  1. Offer Letters
    • Sending out offer letters and Welcome to I'RAISE emails to candidates that are receiving an internship, volunteer or employment offer to join I'RAISE.
  2. Onboarding
    • Once candidates are sent the Welcome to I'RAISE paperwork, the individual monitors to ensure they have started the process and completes all the necessary documentation:
    • Initiating Background check
    • Completing the New Hire Information Link
    • Providing requested documents for the I-9 form
    • Providing a Photo Id that meets the requirements
    • If the individual fails to start the process, our Intern follows up with them to ensure they received the email, and to urge the individual to complete the process
  3. Scheduling Interviews
    • The Talent Acquisition Intern helps the HR Director by reaching out to candidates for the volunteer, internship and job candidates and schedules them for an available slot during our Video Group Interviews
  4. Email Blasts for Job Fairs
    • The Talent Acquisition Intern reviews candidates in our applicant tracking system and/or recruitment platforms and then sends out an email blast using a template created for our monthly job fairs.
  5. Reporting
    • The Talent Acquisition Intern will create reports centered around candidate flow per open position to assess how responsive candidates have been to various roles.
Additional Duties As Needed
  • On occasion the Talent Acquisition Intern assists the HR team with requests or projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Human Resources Management or Business major
  • Some experience in an office environment preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and resume databases
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
