Wesley House is searching for individuals seeking to end generational poverty and build stronger communities through equitable access to higher education for all students. Wesley House is the only supportive housing provider specifically serving college students in San Diego County.
The students we serve are low-income, full-time post-secondary students and often identify as: experiencing homelessness, formerly incarcerated, former foster youth, first generation college student, first-generation American and/or BIPOC. The organization provides affordable housing and basic needs support services to students attending area community colleges, trade schools and SDSU. Our housing and services complex is adjacent to San Diego State University.
Join us as we transform lives! We are looking for individuals with diverse backgrounds and experience in the legal profession, social work, higher education, human resources, and marketing, but anyone with a passion for our mission to empower students to achieve their goals through affordable housing and support services, should reach out.

Wesley House Student Residence (WHSR) empowers system-impacted students, including those who have aged out of foster care, were formerly incarcerated &/or are homeless, to realize their post-secondary education goals through affordable/subsidized housing and a network of services. Our programs are designed to end homelessness and foster resilience and self-confidence as our residents achieve their academic and career goals.
Description
Wesley House Student Residence is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization operating the only affordable supportive housing complex serving low-income and systemically marginalized college students in San Diego County. Our student residents face additional challenges such as experiencing housing insecurity/ homelessness, being formerly incarcerated and/or aging out of the foster care system. Many are the first generation in their family to attend college. We currently operate in one location with 11 units serving 24 student residents. In addition to housing, we offer an onsite food pantry, targeted monthly programs, and individualized wraparound support services. Our community food pantry provides nutritious food to more than 400 students. Please reach out to us to learn more!
