Paint Tacoma Beautiful is a program that provides free exterior painting to low income homeowners during the spring and summer months. Since 1985 Paint Tacoma Beautiful has mobilized volunteers to paint houses free of charge for more than 2,200 low income, elderly, and disabled homeowners across Pierce County.
Volunteer Home Assessors are an essential part of our project selection process. As a Home Assessor, you will:
- Visit the homes of Paint Tacoma applicants and perform an assessment to determine the level of need, difficulty, and other criteria that help our team select which homes we will paint
- Provide input to help homeowners select paint colors for their home
- Schedule assessments on days and times that work for you!

Associated Ministries is a non-profit organization located in the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma, WA. We are an interfaith organization uniting communities of different faiths to work together toward lasting solutions to homelessness. We provide housing services to people experiencing homelessness, as well as support to modest and low income households as a form of homeless prevention. We strive to create an anti-racist equity-driven environment for all clients, staff, and volunteers who come through our doors.

- Each assessment takes about 1 hour. Assessments can take place any days and times (within reason) that work for the volunteer and the homeowner. All assessments are in Tacoma City Limits.
