Do you have a talent to share?

Want an easy way to make a big impact in someone's life?

Join our team of upbeat, big-hearted people who are dedicated to bringing peace to those with terminal illnesses.

Now that Covid19 is part of our lives, even though we're no longer in "pandemic mode," we still follow the CDC guidelines to keep patients, families, and volunteers safe. Our volunteers are welcomed as respected members of the care team and have a variety of ways to help our patients, including helping patients write letters, singing or reading to them, or just offering a friendly ear. We are happy to work around our volunteers' schedules.

Currently, training is done online. It is informative and easy to understand. It is designed to give volunteers the tools to be confident and comfortable working with our patients.

Death can actually be a beautiful process, given the right circumstances.

Having the gift of foresight that the end of their life is near, many people can finally make sense of their life story. Peace can be made with people and circumstances that have had a profound impact on individuals. Many who are in the process of dying have a unique perspective on what it means to be alive. We want to help them find meaning in every moment that they still have. We take our mission seriously, but we also have fun while partnering with our patients on their journey.

As your volunteer coordinator, I look forward to helping you add a meaningful, rewarding facet to your life!

Mission Statement

Arizona Care hospice is committed to providing quality care for patients faced with a life-limiting illness. We believe that the patient and family are an integral decision making member of the hospice team in planning and receiving care. Hospice offers an alternative to repeat hospitalizations. Hospice affirms life. It neither hastens death nor postpones death, but assists the patient and family in living with a life limiting illness.
