We are looking to expand our Friendship Club for adults into Lake County. The Friendship Club is run by 2 volunteers that lead a group of up to 10 adults with Down syndrome in having a fun night out once a week (typically on Sundays, but this is flexible). We are looking for dedicated and responsible volunteers who will help plan the activities each week, attend, and ensure the safety of the group. Experience working with individuals with an intellectual disability is preferred, but not required.
This group will not start until September, but we are looking for volunteers in advance to train and have the opportunity to meet families that will be in the group. Sign up for more information!
