ORGANIZATION: S.Y.STEM Coalition

Looking for a passionate, motivated volunteer who really wants to change the world by filling a leadership role.

SYSTEM Coalition has a high school mentorship program called the G.I.V.E Program. This program gives high school students the opportunity to complete a project during the course of a 9-week program under the mentorship of other SYSTEM Coalition Volunteers. Students are exposed to the inner workings of a STEM non-profit and gain valuable skills for their future.

We are looking for someone to step into the leadership role and coordinate the program. Your responsibilities will include gathering project proposals from the internal SYSTEM Coalition team, recruiting professional development mentors, training mentors, and growing the program.

A little about SYSTEM Coalition: we started 5 years ago in Tucson, AZ. 6 exceptionally talented and motivated people who wanted to give back to the community by helping K-12 students find a passion for STEM. We saw all of the poverty in our city and realized if just one of those kids from that community was able to get a great paying job in STEM, they could not only help themselves but also help their whole family break the cycle of poverty! Now the organization has over 100 volunteers, chapters in 4 different cities and growing! More than anything, being a part of this amazing organization has showed me that you really CAN change the world, one step at a time! Come join me in expanding this incredible organization!!
