Hospice is ... About Living
Hospice focuses on the person, not the disease. Hospice provides:
- Pain and Symptom Control
- Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Care
- Family Care Giver Support
- Living Life to the Fullest with Dignity
Hospice care, centers around the patient and family. The goal of the professionals at Bristol hospice is to empower the patient to make his or her own choices regarding care and assistance. The team serves as the patient's advocate, helping the patient and family to access the information and resources they need during this very challenging time.
In addition to providing the care directly, hospice team members serve as teachers, enabling the family to care for their loved one in their setting of choice. Hospice recognizes that the family and caregivers need an extra measure of support both during and after their experience of caring for a life-limited patient.
As a hospice volunteer, you will provide comfort, care, and connection for those nearing the end of life. Your unique talents and empathetic heart can make an impact on not only those you serve, but your community as well! Join our team and make a difference!
