DUTY OFFICERS
work with local authorities to determine Red Cross response to local disasters, immediately dispatching volunteer teams and resources while providing off-site support for in-field teams and personnel. Remote/virtual volunteer opportunity can be performed from home after in-field experience and training.

  • Ensure response teams have tools, knowledge and resources needed to provide disaster relief services.
  • Sign-up for on-call shifts (minimum one 6-hour shift/week.)
  • Demonstrate leadership, coordination and communication skills during potentially stressful situations.
  • Complete training requirements within 90 days of onboarding, keeping current with all procedures and attending monthly meetings.
