DISASTER ACTION TEAM (DAT)
volunteers respond to local disasters when residents are displaced from their homes providing immediate on-scene care and comfort while meeting needs for shelter, food and supplies.

  • Respond promptly when on call, physically prepared to respond within 2 hours.
  • Use personal smart phone, tablet or laptop when responding; requires ability to open and track cases.
  • Use own vehicle or public transportation to meet team, pick-up Red Cross vehicle and/or arrive on scene.
  • Sign-up for on-call shifts (minimum four 6-hour shifts/month.)
  • Complete training requirements within 90 days of onboarding, keeping current with all procedures and attending monthly meetings.
