West Place Animal Sanctuary is a forever home for abused, neglected, and abandoned farm animals. We also rehabilitate wildlife and are a temporary holding facility for lost dogs in Tiverton and Little Compton. West Place does a lot to help the community, but we can't do it all ourselves! We need help from dedicated volunteers who believe in our mission.
Our property is surrounded by a beautiful historic rock wall separating our property from those around us. We are constantly restacking fallen rocks, pulling plants from between the rocks, weed whacking around the walls and other basic maintenance.

Mission Statement
West Place Animal Sanctuary rescues farm animals from abuse, neglect, and cruelty and provides them with a permanent home and lifelong care. We rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife in Rhode Island and release healthy animals back into their natural habitats. We also operate the lost dog shelter for the towns of Tiverton and Little Compton. Through our humane education programs, West Place educates the public, offers hands-on educational experiences through our immersive student internships, and cultivates a more compassionate community.
