Help the Southern California Care Community (SoCalCC) provide much needed free medical care to our communities in need. You can help them save lives and provide comfort to those who would otherwise go without quality health care.

SoCalCC is looking for Licensed Primary Care Physicians, Nurse Practitioners or Physicians Assistants to see patients and precept/teach their students at their Free Medical Clinic. Malpractice coverage is provided by their organization. SoCalCC provides all training and supplies.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Required: Documentation of Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant Medical License, immunization record, and CV required to volunteer.

Required Experience: Experience as a Primary Care Medical Provider

Time Commitment: One 1/2 day shift a month for a one year commitment.

Mission Statement

The Southern California Care Community, (SoCalCC) offers free, community based healthcare clinics throughout San Diego County. Run by licensed medical professionals and nursing students, we serve the uninsured residents of our community in a respectful and compassionate manner. We are a fully licensed medical clinic and are recipients of the NAFCC Gold Rating Quality Award, 2020. Our volunteers assist clients in any way we can because we believe everyone deserves care.

Description

We're currently looking for licensed primary care MDs, NPs and PAs to precept our nurse practitioner students. We request one half day a month commitment, and we provide full malpractice coverage. We are also looking for specialty physicians willing to do phone consultations on our complex patients. Lastly, we are looking for non-medical individuals interested in helping with fundraising and grant writing. We request a one year commitment from all volunteers.
