YWCA Dayton Crisis Service Volunteer
Direct service volunteer who acts as an advocate for YWCA Dayton’s services. This may include providing proactive support (information and referral to YWCA) for survivors they encounter in everyday life. The primary duties of this position are to take hotline crisis calls and greet walk-ins to provide active listening, support and offer resources when needed. Should be able to work 12- 16 hours per month as needed, with some flexibility.
Must complete 40 hours of sexual violence advocacy training (provided by YWCA Dayton). There will also be a period of job shadowing and responding to practice crisis call scenarios. This position will receive ongoing supervision and support.
This position is being postponed until January 2022. You may still sign up, but it won't begin until January.
