Disasters occur every day, reminding us how vulnerable we can be. From home fires to hurricanes, disasters strip people of their essential needs and devastate communities.
Today, more than ever, the American Red Cross is giving response to any disaster or need that the community has. Consider donating some of your valuable time to help those affected by smaller disasters by joining the Disaster Action Team.
Disaster Action Team Members respond locally to disasters, mainly home fires, day or night. DAT members meet with family members to determine their immediate disaster-caused needs.
Those needs can include shelter, food, a change of clothes, medicine replacements and comfort.
