The JCC-Federation of SLO is pleased to be hosting the 12th Annual San Luis Obispo Jewish Film Festival! We are currently looking for volunteers to join our Film Festival Committee, and encourage those who want to volunteer to bring a friend with them to help!

These are the areas where volunteers can participate:

1. Volunteer Coordinator
2. Sponsors/Sponsorship Opportunities
3. Donations (i.e. hotels, gift baskets, wine, etc.)
4. Marketing/Public Relations (scheduling interviews with media, press releases, Public Service Announcements, etc.)
5. Graphic Design
6. Film Selection (identifying and narrowing selection field)
7. Film Procurement (i.e. rental contracts/fees)
8. Website Building
9. Artist Liaison/Interviewer
10. Live Events Coordinator (i.e. venue/decor/wine/catering)

We serve as the focal point of Jewish community life in San Luis Obispo County. We are a non-profit organization enriching life in the area and connecting people of all backgrounds, ages, and religions through our programs like the SLO Jewish Film Festival, summer camps, a Holocaust Remembrance Program, Hannukah Downtown celebration, Community Affairs Council, being a part of diversity organizations within SLO, and much more. The JCC-Federation is a part of the Jewish Federations of North America, a global network of communities. Locally, we are members of the SLO Chamber of Commerce, SPOKES, and the Downtown Association.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • 2-3 hours a week during the planning stages. 8-12 hours a week when the festival begins.
  • Working on a committee schedule with meeting starting in mid-July and events happening throughout the end of January.
