Here’s your chance to take part in wildlife surveys at the park! Bat Equipment Monitoring Assistant will help the park Bat Technician, Elyse, deploying and retrieving bat monitors. These monitors are deployed into the field to collect bat sonar, which can be used as an indication of bat populations in the park. Elyse plans to head into the field Wednesdays and Fridays; most days will not require being in the field until 5:00 unless traffic or road construction prevent smooth transitions between sites. Monitoring Assistant can meet Elyse in the office and carpool in the government vehicle or meet Elyse at sites. Parking vouchers are available if volunteers wish to park in the Kellogg Square parking ramp attached the the park headquarters space.
