Twice a month (first Sunday and third Saturday) in the morning The Bolsa Chica Stewards - the Restoration Team of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust - have been holding community-based habitat restoration volunteer events at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve for 25 years! In cooperation with the California Department of Fish & Wildlife, the Bolsa Chica Stewards have planted over 38,000 drought tolerant, CA native plants. Restoring the mesa to a native habitat is important for the native wildlife that call Bolsa Chica home.
