Red Cross Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteers help turn tragedy into hope after a disaster.

The Disaster Action Teams provides 24-hour emergency response to local disasters, particularly house fires, ensuring that those affected have access to resources for basic necessities such as food, shelter and clothing. This volunteer opportunity would allow you to support your local community in times of misfortune.

We have a need for DAT members throughout all Northern Nevada to ensure that all home fires and other disasters such as wildfires are responded to in a timely manner. The training is fully provided and the time commitment is flexible. Leadership opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities:
Respond to disaster site in a timely manner
Aid individuals or families that are affected
Provide resources and human compassion
