JOIN THE CARRY FORWARD VOLUNTEER PLANNING COMMITTEE!
Take action and join the Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward(r) volunteer planning committee! Members meet on a monthly basis, working together to bring awareness and growth to local Carry Forward events. The average commitment time is two to ten hours monthly and can be completed in person or virtually.

We have several committees and subcommittee roles available:
- Recruitment - Assists with recruiting new corporate, school, church, friend, and family squads
- Retention - Reaches out to past squad leaders and individuals
- Sponsorship - Researches prospective sponsors
- Awareness - Implementing grassroots marketing initiatives to increase awareness of the event.
- Logistics - Supports the coordination and execution of event day logistics

Description
Wounded Warrior Project(r) (WWP) provides free programs and services to address the needs of wounded warriors and fill gaps in government care. We serve, injured veterans, their families, and caregivers by providing free mental health and wellness, physical health and wellness, career and benefits counseling, and support for the most severely injured.
The long-term strategic goal of Wounded Warrior Project(r) (WWP) is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history. We will accomplish this vision by raising awareness and enlisting the public's aid for the needs of injured service members; helping injured servicemen and women aid and assist each other; and providing unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.
Wounded Warrior Project(WWP) positively impacts the lives of injured service members through a high-touch, holistic approach, reaching out to warriors at a personal level by engaging them at numerous points throughout their recovery continuum. By emphasizing our core programs - focused on Outreach and Engagement, Mental Health Support, Physical Health & Wellness, and Financial Assistance, Employment, and Education - WWP works to confront the spectrum of barriers to successful reintegration that many veterans face.
