Seeking Big Brother for Adroa , a 9 yo boy from Burlington whose family moved to Boston from Uganda when he was an infant. Adroa likes movies, cars, video games, and sports. He has been enrolled in the Big/Little program because, as immigrants, his family has few people in their local support system, and his parents feel he could benefit from the mentorship of an American Big Brother who has experienced growing up in the U.S. Adroa is described as a little shy, cheerful, and easygoing. H e has no identified mental health or learning challenges.
The right volunteer will be an American young man from any religion, ethnicity or background, between the ages of 21-35, who likes sports and would enjoy hanging out and doing activities with a "great kid." Matches meet twice a month for a couple of hours, mostly on the weekends, and make a year commitment. Match support is provided by Clinical Match Specialists.
