Volunteering opportunities are available! Amedisys Hospice, recently voted one of the best organizations to work for in health care, has opportunities for volunteers as COVID restrictions are lifting. We are looking for people with a "hospice heart" who have at least 4-8 hours per month to share with our patients and their families.
* WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Would you like to connect with patients and their families to discuss a life story? How about celebrating a birthday with them or even just "checking in" to make sure they have all of the supplies they need? Is honoring a veteran important to you - it is to us and we need veteran volunteers to make this dream a reality. Do you enjoy working in an office - you would be a vital part of the behind the scenes pulse of our growing hospice. Volunteers even provide clinical services such as in-home respite for families and companionship visits. And if you have a certified companionship animal - pet companionship visits!
* WHAT'S REQUIRED?
4-8 hours per month after application and training
* CAN I TRY DIFFERENT OPPORTUNITIES?
ABSOLUTELY! We want this experience to be fulfilling for you - so we have a variety of projects to benefit our volunteers so they can help our patients.
Volunteers with hospice fully believe they get as much as they give.
