The Carboncopies Foundation is currently growing and we are looking for a Co-Lead for the HR section of our Operations Department. You will work alongside the current lead of the HR section as well as our COO and the lead and Co-Lead of our Governance department. Together you will be responsible for all work related to making sure the CFF runs smoothly. Your role will be to support the Lead of the HR section in onboarding new team members and supporting Leads in running their projects and departments. This includes recruiting new team members, developing new routines and tools for leads and ensuring team members are engaged with their work. In this work you will lead a team of volunteers, together with our HR Lead. These team members will help you with the work you are responsible for.
Your tasks will include:
- Setting recruiting targets & strategies.
- Planning effective activities to achieve team members engagement.
- Setting up plans for developing team management among Leads.
- Setting up plans for developing the management skills of Lead.
- Planning and running regular calls with team members.
- Leading the HR volunteer team, ensuring they are engaged and effective.
- Providing guidance & hands-on leadership for planned activities within the HR team.
- Taking on other hands-on tasks related to HR and management as necessary.
The following qualifications and/or experience isn’t required but would be helpful for you in taking on this role:
- Experience with non-profit activities, especially team management.
- Work experience in a (team) management position.
- Ability to work independently, plan personal workload effectively and delegate.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Fascination and active interest in neuroscience, biotechnology, artificial intelligence or other relevant emerging fields.

Increasing general awareness of the human adaptability gap and the possibility that neural prosthesis, whole brain emulation and substrate-independent mind may offer solutions
Hosting conferences or workshops, and providing informational material
