Are you a foodie or flower aficionado? A woman with ALS would love your help with gardening, weeding, and/or meal prep. Ideal times for a volunteer to help her family would be once every other week between 11:00 am-2:00 pm, but days/length of time can be flexible. Description
What is ALS?
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.
How does The ALS Association help?
We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
