Every year the armed forces recruit about 150,000 enlistees who work hard and devote their life to defending our country. These recruits leave their families and their lives behind for the greater good of our country which means it is only right if we can help them out. The Red Cross has many services that can help these new military members out, but the only way for them to find out is if we reach out to them!
Join us as a SAF(Service to the Armed Forces) Caseworker:
- Call and inform military families who have a family member entering the military about Red Cross services for the Armed Forces
- Follow up with military families after experiencing a family emergency
- Manage confidential family case files in Red Cross online case management system
Time Commitment:
- 2 days a week
- 1-2 hours each day you volunteer
- This is a 6+ month commitment
Requirements:
- Comfortable working with computers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be calm, professional, and able to handle emotional situations
- Virtual Training required: 3-5 hours
- 18+ years old
