If you are searching for a way to make a real difference in the lives of others, you belong with Avalon Hospice. Compassionate hospice volunteers are a valuable part of our care team and improve the quality of life for our patients and families at a time that life matters most.

We are currently in need of volunteers in the Columbia area. As an Avalon volunteer, you make a difference in many ways:

  • Providing companionship to patients
  • Running errands or performing light housekeeping
  • Supplying respite care for caregivers
  • Delivering uplifting flower bouquets
  • Veteran-to-Veteran opportunities also available
Our volunteer coordinator will help you discover the best fit for you based on your interests and preferences. Your volunteer hours are focused around your schedule. Initial and ongoing training will be provided.

We do require proof of a COVID vaccination in order to volunteer.
