Team Description: Coordinates Foster Home six month Rechecks for Fosters.

Position Title: Foster Home RECheck Coordinator

Position Description: Coordinate six-month foster home rechecks with fosters to keep AAUPR in compliance with the Department of Agriculture. Handle day to day administrative functions: Email fosters with home recheck needed reminders and follow up with status checks as needed. Post on Facebook or email volunteers to do home rechecks in their areas as needed. Email forms to volunteers and answer questions as needed. Follow up on the home rechecks as needed. Review paperwork that is submitted to ensure it is complete and accurate. Update database with foster rehome check information and upload the forms. Update Google tracking spreadsheet and send out approval emails. to volunteers to help fosters find a volunteer in their area to do their recheck when needed.

Qualifications for Position: Must have internet access for Cloud based database (iShelters), Google Drive (Sheets), & Gmail . Need to be detail-oriented, organized, and computer-savvy. Must have good written communication skills and good editing/reviewing skills to review forms to ensure they are completed correctly. Need to be able to convert documents to a single PDF - so it can be uploaded to iShelters database (there are free options available).

Availability needed: Volunteers needed currently to work toward a schedule of volunteers alternating weeks (Monday - Sunday). Volunteers should expect to spend an average of 45 minutes to 1 hour on average per day depending on the volume of requests and paperwork that come in. Some days may have no activity, some days are noticeably quiet, and some days may be busy and require more time. It would be best for volunteers to have some flexibility to monitor emails and respond to requests throughout the day in case there is an urgent request or question. The current coordinator checks email sporadically throughout the day as things come in. The majority of emails come in before noon, but volunteer hours are flexible.
