Bristol Hospice relies on volunteers to provide companionship, comfort measures and respite for our patients and their families. We currently need Veterans for our Vet to Vet program and folks with specific skills like hairdressers, crafters to make memory posters and greeting cards, and folks with certified services pets. Also many patients are interested in recording life stories. Bristol Hospice volunteering is a great opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, home health aids, social workers, and spiritual care providers. Please keep in mind we can't change outcomes but we can improve a patient's quality of life with our gentle presence.

Mission Statement
Embracing a reverence for life, Bristol Hospice relies on volunteers (age 18+) to provide companionship for patients diagnosed with a terminal illness. They may listen to music, watch movies , read, record family stories or provide respite for caregivers. Bristol Hospice volunteers receive specialized training and support from the entire team. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to get first-hand experience in their chosen field of study (medicine, social work or psychology) veterans, and anyone with a big heart.
