Greater Vision Uganda was established in 2020 in order to build a school and serve the children of Sogolero Uganda. Education, nutrition, and health services are at the core of GVU’s services for those it serves. Our team is made up of passionate, empathetic givers and doers that volunteer their time to make all of this a reality. GVU has launched Greater Vision Academy for the K-3rd ages and is looking for someone with a strong background and knowledge in Marketing and Social Media to help effectively reach those that would join GVU in serving the children of Sogolero Uganda. They will also share the same passion for giving and doing for these children and gel well with the current team in place doing this work.
Responsibilities
The Online Marketing Manager will collaborate with the Chief of Operations and Executive Director playing a critical role in marketing and managing Marketing & Social Media channels for GVU. The Online Marketing Manager will help manage Social Media assets, website design, and help create an email/SMS strategy.
- Work roughly 2 - 3 hrs a week and be available on call within reason.
- Work remotely.
- Directly collaborate with communications and marketing staff on technology and web management.
- Managing our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
- Managing our Website in collaboration with the COO.
- Help create and execute an email and SMS marketing strategy for GVU
- Help research and implement technology solutions that will benefit GVU
Requirements
- Social Media marketing experience
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Basic web development skills
- A love for design and outreach online
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Organization skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving skills (Divergent thinking is a plus)
- Highly resourceful
- Self-motivation
- Excellent analytical skills

Description
Greater Vision Uganda is a non-profit organization established with the intention of providing quality education, proper nutrition, and health services to deserving children in Sogolero Uganda just 60 miles north-west of Kampala near Bukomero off of Hoima Road. We have built a temporary structure to begin classes next semester.
Greater Vision Academy is instructing K-3rd right now with the vision to grow and teach all of the young people of the village through high school and prepare them for future opportunities at University and/or well-paying careers. The students that attend our classes are receiving 2 healthy meals each day and quality education. Some of the children are in need of medical intervention and GVU has and will continue to provide that as well, as the needs arise.
We are always in need of volunteers and sponsors for the school and GVU. Every effort to increase these young children's lives is an effort to make Sogolero, Uganda, and the world a better and more equitable place for all of us.
