This front-line position has a significant role in representing Mechanics Hall to the general public and shaping the public's perception of the quality of events and services at the Hall. As such, Greeters must provide outstanding customer service to patrons while being aware of potential security concerns and enforcing Hall policies and procedures. Greeters must be well-versed in greeting patrons, making them feel welcome, handing out programs and resolving any issues that arise. He/she is also responsible for assisting with the execution of the emergency response plan and evacuation of the building when necessary.

- Greeters are needed for scheduled events, as well as on a regular weekday schedule during peak office hours. Event Greeters arrive 60 minutes prior to the start of the event.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to meet physical demands of the position including walking, standing for extended periods, climbing stairs repeatedly and lifting heavy items (35 lbs) waist high.
