Loving Labradoodles For Children and Veterans With Disabilities Inc.

LLCVD is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit based in Queen Creek, AZ, with a mission to provide support groups for:

  • Disabled Veterans
  • Parents of Disabled Veterans
  • Spouses of Disabled Veterans
  • Parents of Disabled Veterans
  • Disabled Children
  • Parents of Disabled Children
  • Siblings of Disabled Children
  • Children struggling with being bullied
  • Children that have been bullied
  • Parents of children being bullied
  • Parents of children that have been bullied

Support group leaders are exceptional individuals who freely give their time and talents, working on behalf of their community and LLCVD without financial compensation.

Responsibilities Support Group Leaders are responsible for:

  • Leading an active support group with a minimum of (1) one meeting per month.
  • Volunteer 3 hours a month outside of your group meeting to help the community awareness of the group.
  • Keeping LLCVD group members informed about meeting dates, times, and locations.
  • Building relationships with members to make them feel welcome and supported in the group.
  • Distributing LLCVD literature to health care providers, libraries, and other businesses and organizations as needed to bring awareness to LLCVD and our support groups.

Qualifications:

Support Group Leaders need to possess the following qualifications to be considered for a Support Group Leader volunteer :

  • A strong desire to help support others in the support group they lead.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups of individuals, regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, income, religion, or political affiliations.
  • Experience in public speaking or a desire to do so is a plus.
  • Impeccable community reputation and ethical behavior.
  • Thorough knowledge of the support group you choose to apply to lead or the ability to become knowledgeable.
  • Access to the internet and an active email account.
  • Must be 18 years or older

    Can be on multiple days we have many different support groups. Let us know what days you can volunteer.

Mission Statement

Loving Labradoodles For Children and Veterans with Disabilities, Inc. was established for the charitable purpose of: Raising and training the highest caliber psychiatric support and emotional support dogs.​ Pairing psychiatric support and emotionally support trained dogs with children and veterans afflicted by disabilities and are allergic or have a family member allergic to shedding dogs. Help to build and restore the mental health in disabled children and veterans and in turn, improving quality of life for the recipient while minimizing reliance on government, communities, caregivers, and families Provide support groups for disabled Children, Veterans, and their families. Run a program to rescue poodles and doodles and train them for service or emotional therapy dogs if they qualify and if they don't find a loving forever home for the dog.​

Description

Here at Loving Labradoodles for Children and Veterans with Disabilities (LLCVD), we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change.

With our dedicated Board of Directors and volunteers, we are helping to provide the community with:

  • Psychiatric Service dogs,

  • Emotional support dogs,

  • Support Groups

  • Our Doodle and Poodle Rescue Program

​ All of our client services are provided free of charge, including personalized training and extensive post-graduation support, plus our dog food fund for clients that fall on hard times.
