Real progress toward a cure has been made, but the lives of young people with cystic fibrosis (CF) are still cut far too short. We urgently need the public’s continued support to fulfill our mission and help add tomorrows for those with the disease.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has raised and invested hundreds of millions of dollars to help develop CF drugs and therapies. Through our efforts, the life expectancy of a child with CF has doubled in the last 30 years, and research to find a cure is more promising than ever before.
This is our fourth annual Taste for a Cure event on October 22, 2023 where participants will spend their Sunday afternoon enjoying tastings from local eateries, wineries, breweries, and distilleries from Northern California while making a difference for those living with CF
There are many volunteer opportunities available, including photography, site set-up, event wrap-up, event registration, auction, wine pull, greeter, etc.
There is something for everyone! Here are the areas where we need your help:
Site Set Up/Clean Up: We need help setting up tables, chairs, vendor tables, auction items, etc. - from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
Registration: Greet participants and get them checked in, make sure they are paid, give them a bid number for the auction and more - from 1 pm - 6:30 pm
Wine Pull: We will need 2 volunteers to help with our wine pull where participants will pay for a surprise bottle of wine and pick a number to determine the wine they get - from 1:30 pm - 6 pm
Greeter: We need volunteers to help greet participants after they check in at registration and make sure they receive a wine glass - from 1:30 pm - 6 pm

Mission Statement
The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care. We will not rest until we find a cure for all people with cystic fibrosis.
Description
The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is fueled by a dedicated group of scientists, caregivers, donors, volunteers and people with CF and their families who are united by a common goal: to find a cure for this devastating disease and help those with CF live longer, healthier lives.
ResearchWe fund more innovative, groundbreaking CF research than any other organization in the world. We have invested hundreds of millions of dollars into CF research and drug development. Because of our efforts, people with cystic fibrosis are living longer, healthier lives and pursuing dreams they never before thought possible.
CareWe provide expert care for people with CF through our nationwide network of accredited care centers. Cystic fibrosis is a complex disease that affects every person differently. That's why we're dedicated to helping people with CF get individualized care that's tailored to their unique needs.
SupportWe help people with cystic fibrosis and their families get the tools and support they need to lead healthy, productive lives, today. The incredible strides we're making in research and drug development mean nothing if people with CF don't have access to the care and therapies they need. We're working diligently to ensure all people with CF have access to the best medical, educational and financial resources available.
