ORGANIZATION: Serenity Hospice

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 7 people are interested

Serenity Hospice is looking for dedicated volunteers with mature communication skills to help make weekly service calls to our patients and their primary caregivers and then enter basic information into an online form. We are asking for a time commitment of 3-4 hours per week. After a brief education in the office (which will require transportation), this volunteer position can be done 100% from the comfort of your home. Calls are typically made on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but some flexibility can be offered.

All training will be provided. This is an easy way to support our patients and make a difference in your community! We look forward to hearing from you!

For more details about our upcoming training and application process, or more insight on what it is like to work in hospice, please contact Rock, our Salem and Eugene Volunteer Coordinator, at rriggs@addus.com and (503) 991-5228, or visit our website www.serenityhospice.org for more information.

Mission Statement

Doing whatever it takes when it matters most. No One Dies Alone, Afraid or in Pain.

Description

We are privileged to provide end-of-life care and are dedicated to doing "Whatever It takes, when it matters most." We are rigorous in the ongoing evaluation of our performance and work to improve our process and results every day. We are committed to acting with integrity and having a positive impact on everyone with whom we come in contact. Using a holistic approach, Serenity Palliative Care and Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients (and their families) experiencing end-of-life transition. We believe that no one should die alone, afraid or in pain. Pain management is our main priority and alternative therapies are offered as a complementary means of treating pain. Serenity is also a proud partner of the We Honor Veterans Program. Serenity has developed our own V.I.P. Program as a special level of care designed for Veterans.
