Apricus Hospice is looking for people looking to share time and companionship with people on their end-of-life journeys. Being a hospice volunteer means that you are willing to be with a patient and their family during the most vulnerable part of their life, as they are getting ready to leave this earth.
A volunteer can help in many ways from direct patient care to administrative help in the hospice agency. Some examples of the things you can do for patient care volunteering are: be a friend, share stories, read, give respite for the caregiver, light housekeeping, run errands, play music, sing, arts and crafts, yard work, etc. There are many more ways to be there for a patient.
You can help in the Agency with administrative volunteering with patient/family mailings, filing papers, assembly of admission packets, answering telephones, planning for functions, and front desk. The ways are endless to be a volunteer for hospice. If you feel you have the heart and soul to be there for our patients and be that special person to them- please contact us today!

- We would love to have people volunteering every week and ongoing. The patient and families really enjoy having volunteers and the volunteers are the most important part of the hospice team.
- We do require our volunteers to pass a drug screening as well as fill out the necessary paperwork for our volunteer files. We would love to get some amazing people to join our hospice family!
