ORGANIZATION: Time's Up

Time's Up! Logo

Time's Up! is seeking a fundraising coordinator. Time's Up! is a 34 year-old NYC direct action environmental organization with a wide range of campaigns and events. Since environmental issues are in the forefront of the city's agenda right now, this is a great time to promote our work. Fundraising efforts include parties and other events, grant writing, increasing membership, and web-based research. Much of the work can be done from home.

Fundraising experience is required. We are looking for someone who has any additional experience/enthusiasm for:

  • grant searching and grant writing
  • brainstorming fundraising ideas
  • increasing our membership
Fundraising committee meetings are held periodically. Our volunteers partner with the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space. For more information on Time's Up! visit us at www.times-up.org.

About Time's Up

Location:

626 E 14th St., New York, NY 10009, US

Mission Statement

TIME'S UP! educates people about the environmental impacts of everyday purchases. We focus on transportation issues in New York City and have been instrumental in involving cyclists and skaters in large, mobile actions.

Description

TIME'S UP! is a grassroots environmental group that has been working on environmental issues for 27 years. Educational outreach and direct action are the two most important aspects of TIME'S UP! We hold more than 100 free outdoor and indoor events each year. Our campaigns range from saving community gardens to promoting non-polluting transportation. In 2012, Time's Up! partnered with the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (Morus) in lower east side of Manhattan, which archives the history of the community and gardens, advocating community engagement and sustainable urban design.
