We are hosting "Depot Day" at Travel Town and need extra volunteers to help our vendors load in and out, and to assist with parking directions during the time of the event, as there are different performers and audiences that will need to come in and unload and then park their cars. Extra hands to help folks carry things to their cars are needed. There will be plenty of walking over and around railroad tracks during the day, and you should be able to lift and carry 50 pounds easily.
Cleanup around the Museum is needed in the day and week before - sweeping, gardening, train washing, moving small equipment, etc.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Foundation is to educate the public about railroad history as it pertains to the development of the Southwest Region of the United States, particularly the Los Angeles area. We fulfill this mission by supporting the restoration, operation, and interpretation of the historic railroad equipment at the City-operated Travel Town Museum in Griffith Park.
Description
Educational Tour Guides needed to instruct the general public and school groups. Great way to meet and talk with others in your community and help out the Museum. Volunteer leaders needed to work with local high school students earning their community service hours. Skilled restoration/mechanical volunteers needed to work on restoring Passenger cars and locomotives and other equipment at the Museum.
