Helping Mothers be The Best They Can Be

Be an impact on the children of North Texas by being a mother's Mentor! Participate in motherhood classes to establish relationships with struggling mothers- offering support, a listening ear, and other resources to empower them. Help them as they attend FOCUS for Mothers, a 10 week long class that they attend 1-2 times per week in order to strengthen their parenting skills, as well their boundaries and their value. Our goal is for the mother to be strong enough to parent her children well, and work with the other parent effectively, so their children can grow into healthy adults. You can help empower women that may be struggling through abuses, custody issues, or other crises in their lives.

This is an opportunity for women only, as some of our mothers have undergone trauma caused by a man.

Mission Statement

To walk alongside parents, through classes and coaching, on their journeys to becoming the role models their children need to grow up in a safe, loving home.

Description

We are a Christian faith-based organization. We want parents to be parents, so kids can be kids. Working with parents to provide a safe loving home to live in- with their parents, if possible and secure. We offer parenting classes (FOCUS [Families Offering Children Unfailing Support] for both Mothers and Fathers), co-parenting classes, anger resolution classes, co-parenting counseling, chaplaincy services (both in the Tarrant County Family Law Center and the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice Center), and individual counseling. We work with Child Protective Services, Our Community- Our Kids, and the family courts to help parents understand their own worth and potential, so that they can be the best parent possible for their child/children. We also support the children incarcerated in the TCJJC with Character Counts classes, and also with bible studies and chaplaincy efforts.
