Engage with different communities to manage natural resources, conserve environment, improve health status of people and raise literacy rate towards poverty alleviation.

Work together with the organization's project officer to develop and implement programs, lectures and seminars geared at raising awareness on environmental conservation issues and natural resource management. These sessions and activities would take place in Arusha Region in Tanzania mainland including visits to village communities and schools.

Each presentation is targeted at the conservation issues at that particular location. Presentations at different sites are both in theory and practice (whenever possible).

For example, schools may require school ground clean-ups, tree planting tasks in the school yards, constructing tippy taps, local rocket stoves etc. These projects may include a small reward for the student or group of students that accomplish the most in their conservation tasks.

Take session about food waste control from our professional food security officer before delivering knowledge to the community and learn about painting, this will be Learning environmental friendly paintings with environmental friendly equipment in the natural them living garden in the center of the City.

Work with different communities and partner organizations in Arusha, like preparing meetings with the village, village government about natural resource management (Planting trees, constructing tippy-taps, local rocket stoves) health (How to stay health and avoid diseases) and food security (Proper food storage-prevent waste of food and their advantages) before hosting local ceremony after completion of their project with the assistant of the project director

WORK & IMPACT

Induction Days and Prepare Presentations

Once the volunteers arrives, they will meet the organization official and have an induction seminar about the organization and will be briefed about the project. Then second works with the project coordinator of the organization is to have the plan of everything that to be done during the whole stay, determine which communities most need environmental conservation assistance. Then the volunteer works on preparing presentations according to the needs of the targeted communities, raising awareness and other natural resource management activities.

School, village and community education and Presentations

Volunteers will work with the coordinator of the organization to develop and implement environmental education presentations and projects for schools, villages and communities requiring conservation knowledge. The organization's staff will first consult personnel in these schools, villages and communities to determine if they are agreeable to such arrangements and if so what school grades and number of people would be involved so that the presentations could be directed at the right grade and age level.

Community Presentations

Volunteers may be asked to visit rural villages, (with staff members of the organization) especially the villages near park reserves and catchment areas and discuss environmental awareness issues and conduct some natural resource management activities lie Planting trees, constructing rocket stoves and tippy-taps that are pertinent to that location with the people and perhaps some possible approaches to solutions in the problem areas.

GOALS

We want to reach a goal of educating more than 15 schools with more than 300 kids, four villages with more than 600 villagers, plant more than 500 trees within five weeks. but the major aim is to enable the communities especially which are living under 1 dollar per day to understand the value of their environment and use it to raise their income without destructing it at the same time to understand the importance of having good health towards attaining their sustainable development goals
