Description
About the Organization: Our TIN's overall goal is to ensure world peace. The first line of action is to take care of the black community by improving the physical environment, effectively educating the youth, and promoting unity. The organization’s second line of action is to hold elected officials accountable. Our TIN believes in taking action and being the change. By committing to education and action, also known as the Our TIN approach, the nonprofit aims to restore the inequalities and inequities that cripple the advancement of numerous communities across the world.
Programs
Sunday Scrubs includes litter and trash clean up in order to change the perception of underserved neighborhoods and improved the environment.
Sunday Grubs is an initiative where team members, volunteers, and partnering organizations provide meals to individuals and families who are food insecure or experiencing homelessness.
Our TIN Academy consists of educational workshops which teach important life skills and other essential lessons to various community members, including students.
The organization also hosts various Community Events which aim to bring people/neighbors together and encourage family outings (ex: Pumpkin Patch Event & Juneteenth Festival). Our TIN remains active by hosting "Too Live Thursdays" which is a weekly podcast, and engaging in other need-based events (ex: voting rallies).
