ORGANIZATION: Friends of MJHS

Nu Sigma Theta is the community service arm of SoulPhamm, Inc. and is open to men and women (ages 18+) across the country. You may learn more about SoulPhamm by visiting www.soulphamm.org. We are seeking a volunteer to co-lead the NYC Chapter of the organization which includes about 20 men and women.

As Chapter Leader, you will work with our Director and other Chapter Leaders to plan and implement both virtual and in person community service, social/professional networking and social justice activities. The chapter has been dormant for about a year, and we are looking for someone to breathe new life into it and help set structure before we think about inviting new members to join us.

The amount of time spent on this opportunity is completely up to the volunteer, but generally does not need to be more than two hours per month. You can choose to deepen your relationship with SoulPhamm by working with the young people as a coach, tutor, mentor, teacher, etc., as your time permits.

The Chapter Leader will also sit on the Junior Board of SoulPhamm, and will serve as Nu Sigma Theta's "voice" at the table. This involves possibly an extra "virtual" hour per month.

A sense of humor is an absolute must. Greek Letter Organization, fraternity experience is NOT required for this role.

Thank you for your interest.
