Title/Position: Lifeline Volunteer
Goal of Position: Provide Lifeline Program support to increase efficiency and subscriber satisfaction.
Duties:
- Connect, disconnect, and replace Lifeline equipment in subscriber’s homes
- Instruct new subscribers on how to use Lifeline equipment
- Keep up-to-date on Lifeline products
- Encourage subscribers and their responders to use Lifeline equipment as directed
- Notify Program Manager of any subscriber or responder contact information changes
Time Frame:
Length of commitment: 12 months
Length of shift: Varies. Usually one hour.
Scheduling: Varies depending on subscriber need.
No Holidays
Worksite: Volunteer Services Office and out in the Community
Minimum age: 18
Qualifications Sought:
- Must be willing to work in a team environment focused on Helping People, Changing Lives
- Must be willing to interact with patients and staff in a positive and friendly manor
- Must be able to read and write
- Good verbal communication skills
- Confidentiality is CRITICAL
- Understand how to complete job tasks
- Communicate adequately with subscribers and staff as necessary
- Understand and follow safety guidelines
- Understand the Volunteer Handbook and all Clinic and Hospital policies and procedures
- Must understand and follow LCHC core values
- Must be willing to transport Lifeline equipment to subscriber’s home
- Must be willing to learn to set up and update Lifeline equipment
- Must have valid driver’s license and insurance
