We are looking for a few small groups to do regular dance performances for our seniors! One 30-minute to hour-long performance a month would be ideal, but we are flexible! Any kind of dance with any kind of skill level will be fine, we have a large program room and also a large backyard space.

All volunteers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Our program hours are Monday through Friday, and we encourage performances between 11am - 12pm and 2pm - 3pm.

Hearts & Minds Activity Center is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions by providing safe, nurturing activities, intergenerational services, and a rich network of support.

Description

Founded in 1984, Hearts & Minds Activity Center emerged as the first large capacity dementia-specific adult day program in the country. Since its inception, Hearts & Minds has provided services to over 6,000 individuals living with dementia and their families. Our adult day program offers the following:

  • Over 60 weekly hours of caregiver relief

  • Daily intergenerational activities

  • Variety of activities tailored to individual’s impairment level

  • Active peer and multigenerational socialization

  • Secure outdoor space designed for individuals with dementia

  • Shower, podiatry, and haircut services

  • Ongoing community education and support

  • Respite services offered six days per week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
