Do you have a car and desire a simple volunteer opportunity? Drive with us!
Our volunteer drivers share their car with a neighbor. The rides can be to:
- A doctor appointment,
- To pick up food at the grocery stores
- A hair cut or perm at the beauty salon
- Pick up meds at the pharmacy
- Drop off a deposit to the bank
- Fun at the local senior center
- Connect with a local support group
All these activities promote active living and socialization for our seniors.
Many drivers state they get as much joy out of the ride as the passenger. At Neighbor to Neighbor, being a volunteer driver is easy. We only ask that you commit to 3 rides per month, we allow flexible scheduling, PLUS you can keep track of your mileage for a tax reimbursement.

Mission Statement
Neighbor to Neighbor of South Carolina, Inc. (N2N), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, promotes independence, relieves isolation, and connects homebound adults to their community through transportation and technology. 2016 Recipient of the state-wide SCANPO Excellence Award (now Together SC). Neighbor to Neighbor dedicated to helping solve adult isolation through passionate and committed volunteers.
Description
Neighbor to Neighbor inspires in us the desire to help our fellow Neighbor who is homebound due to age, disability, and/or chronic illness in Brunswick, Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties. Neighbor to Neighbor is also committed to serving the veterans in our community.
In the spirit of unselfish love, N2N uses innovative technology and best practices in connecting adults in need with qualified and trained volunteers who provide services, such as transportation to medical appointments and other life enhancing destinations, to promote and maintain independent living.
