Is your passion caring for others? ACC Senior Services' mission is to promote the general welfare and enhance the quality of life for our community by identifying, developing, and providing culturally sensitive health and social services for older adults. Volunteer with us to help to enrich the lives of seniors, elevate the human spirit and encourage social communication through group recreation. Help ACC Care Center residents establish bonds of friendship with peers through the Senior Friendship Circle.

Here's what you'll do on a typical day:

  • Engage with senior residents and play memory games or other activities.
  • Build companionship with seniors!
  • Other duties as assigned.
Some skills that will make you successful while you volunteer are:
  • Please be able to demonstrate patience, compassion, and a desire to help others.
  • Dependable and able to commit to a regular schedule.
  • Ability to conduct yourself in a friendly and professional manner.

Schedule & Length of Commitment
Flexible schedule, we'll work with your availability! We ask our volunteers to commit to a regular schedule for at least 3 months.

Requirements to Volunteer at the ACC Care Center:
  • All volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Volunteers in this position are required to complete an online background check. No volunteer is denied solely on the grounds of criminal conviction; but the date, nature, and relevance of the offense to the position assigned may be considered.
  • All volunteers are required to watch two (2) training videos; about Elder Abuse Prevention and Mandated Reporting, and HIPAA Confidentiality. Total duration = approximately 45 minutes.
  • All volunteers are required to read and sign all waivers in our Volunteer Application Packet.
  • All volunteers at the ACC Care Center are required to complete a Tuberculosis test and physical exam with your primary care physician prior to starting. We accept test results up to three (3) months prior to volunteering.
