Are you a kitchen wizard? Does everyone rave about your skills in the kitchen?

Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen in Kendall County (Yorkville), Illinois.

  • Kitchen Assistants will help pack food going out to seniors in Kendall County, provide direction to the meal delivery drivers and more.
  • Cafe Assistants will help set-up and decorate the cafe for lunch, greet seniors coming in for lunch, bring food and drink to the seniors, help with games and activities and assist with clean-up.
Volunteer Kitchen Assistants are needed Monday thru Friday between 8am and 10am
Cafe Assistants are needed Monday thru Friday from 11am until 1pm.

Our vision is to live in an environment where seniors and persons with disabilities are valued and are an active part of our community. We currently serve nearly 600,000 meals a year to over 7,500 seniors and persons with disabilities in Suburban Cook, Kendall & Grundy Counties.

Join us for lunch!

Fight against hunger by giving back to the older adults in your community! The Community Nutrition Network needs your help serving meals at our café sites as well as delivering meals to homebound adults. These opportunities can last anywhere from 1-3 hours and are located at various sites throughout the northern Illinois area.

At The Community Nutrition Network, we strive to keep older adults and persons with disabilities an active part of their community by providing them with the support they need. Much more than a meal, our programs combat depression and isolation, offers companionship, and provides safety checks for homebound adults.
