Social Media Volunteer

As a social media volunteer for the Michigan Youth Education Fund, you will primarily focus on social media engagement while also working closely with the Director of Communications to implement MiYEF's communication strategy.

Tasks:

  • Create social media posts for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Write captions for posts utilizing, MiYEF's mission, vision, values, relevant hashtags, and more!
  • Spread awareness and share social media posts of relevant organizations.
Competencies:
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Experience using Canva.

The Michigan Youth Education Fund is committed to reducing barriers and costs for Michigan students attending educational events and opportunities through grants and scholarships.

Description

The Michigan Youth Education Fund (MiYEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on giving K-12 students access to experiential learning outside of the classroom. Our organization believes that a fundamental part of education is learning through different academic experiences. Unfortunately, many students are unable to participate in extracurricular activities due to the financial costs associated with events and travel. Here at the Michigan Youth Education Fund, we are breaking down barriers, so that all students are able to participate in the educational activities that will help to advance learning, inspire change, and promote leadership. We believe in coordinating with school districts, teachers, parents, and students to provide the most for our Michigan students.
