ORGANIZATION: The Citizen Project

Thank you for your interest in The Citizen Project. The goal of our nonprofit is to represent residents to ensure their concerns are addressed.

We are looking for a full-stack developer to provide high-level application software development services or technical support. This individual must have thorough and demonstrative knowledge on or both the frontend, as well as the backend, server-side.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create a functionality that delivers a great user experience for complex interactions. This will include integrating with public API's and 3D technologies.
  2. Collaborate with peers to design, write, document, deploy and maintain software systems
  3. Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to design and implement user interfaces
  4. Provide proficiency and guidance on front-end libraries such as React, Vue, and Elm
  5. Collaborate with others using Sketch, Photoshop, or other design applications
  6. Perform usability research, ensure compatibility, and optimize performance
Qualifications:
  • Experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and REST API.
  • Strong understanding of client-side scripting.
  • Experience with AWS Amplify a must.
  • Experience with Web performance optimization methods.
  • Experience with debugging client-side scripts.
  • Understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process.
  • Understand recent UI design and development standards and trends.
