Project PLASE is partnering with the Maryland Food Bank and the Baltimore County Dept of Health for a Food Giveaway and Health Screening event!
This free community event will take place at 3601 Old Frederick Rd on the third Tuesday of every month from 11am to 1pm. We will distribute fresh produce and bags of canned/jarred food items to community members while assisting in whatever way we can to the Dept. of Health as they offer COVID tests, Vaccines, and other vital health screenings.
Volunteers will be needed to help unpack the pallets of boxes of fresh produce and put them on tables while bagging up the canned goods to be distributed. Once we open to the community, we will follow the processes given and hand out those items to our clients and community members. We ask that volunteers arrive around 9am for set up.
This event is a great event for a school, community, or frat/sorority groups as well as individuals 15* years or older. (*all minors must be accompanied by a guardian).
Our Community Giveaway is a great way to engage with the community and learn more about an organization addressing poverty in Baltimore. If you're interested in participating, please reach out to us at volunteer@projectplase or (410)837-1400 x121.

Mission Statement
Project PLASE addresses homelessness in Baltimore through our transitional and permanent housing programs coupled with a continuum of housing and services to meet the special physical, mental, and emotional needs of residents. We strive to move individuals from crisis to housing stability by treating, restoring, and rehabilitating the whole person and empowering each individual to function at his or her highest level possible.
Description
The goal of Project PLASE’s transitional housing program is to house and serve homeless citizens in 24-hour supported supervision and case management with a focus on helping the individual function at the highest level.
We provide residents with three meals daily plus snacks, linens, bus tokens, assistance with medical appointments, and clothing as needed - making it easier for residents to focus on getting back on their feet.
Each resident is assigned a counselor for assistance and support. Active case management is given to assist the individual to meet his/her needs, move beyond their crisis situation, and avail him/herself of community based services and resources as appropriate.
